Welcome to MyMinox, my analogue photo journal.
I’ll be posting photos from my Minox B, a subminiature camera produced by the Minox company in Germany between 1958 – 1969. Mine is serial number 910272, one of the rarer black versions.
I realised after far too long that the built in light meter wasn’t working properly , so a lot of my photos are not correctly exposed. Added to this, I have cut, packed and (mostly) developed the film myself, and I have little knowledge of photo editing.
I mostly use 16mm motion picture film for my Minox. I have a 400ft roll of Eastman Double-X, a 400ft roll of Ilford FP4 and a 100ft roll of FP3 (that I’m yet to try). I also occasionally cut 135 film down, and have used Ilford HP5 and Kentmere 400. I’ll be trying colour soon!
Update – I’ve since added 2 Minox LX (chrome) and a gold Selection to my collection, with a C, EC and another B on the way. I plan to learn how to conduct repairs on these cameras so I can ensure their use years into the future.
Fill out the form, and I’ll get back to you.
~ Alan.
